Does this look kind of fuzzy to you? Sorry! With some browsers and / or video combinations it may. To see a better picture hold your cursor over the picture and right click (windows 95/98) your mouse button and save the image to your disk (it's a gif file). Then view it in a graphics package. You should see the image in it's original glory!

NEW PRODUCT

CompuTracker is pleased to announce the new CT-2 unit, otherwise known as the Replay.

The Replay is the ideal companion to your CT-1 datalogger. It looks similar (comes in the same standard box) and functions as a portable data collection unit. Simply take your Replay to the vehicle whose path has been logged, plug it into the new second port connector on the CT-1 and press the Dump button on the Replay. The Replay is powered by the datalogger and downloads the data into solid state EEPROM. The Replay is provided with all necessary cabling.

Then take the Replay back to the office and plug it into the standard cabling for a CT-1 unit and download data into our TRACK utility in exactly the same way as you would for a CT-1. The Replay will automatically delete the stored data once data has been saved by the PC.

On a very long trip? You can download data from the CT-1 into the Replay while traveling and thereby store over 20,000 minutes of total traveling time!

We recommend at least one Replay unit is used with each fleet of vehicles equipped with the CT-1.

LOCATE (Low Cost Asset Tracking Equipment) System

Introduction to LOCATE technology:

The LOCATE system works by using very low power transmitter units with ID. In itself there is nothing unique about such systems, except they have been used for very short distance (10' or less) to gain access to secure areas in ID badges, etc. Low cost asset tracking between strategic route points at very low cost is now a reality. Usage is not limited by licensing requirements because of the low power used.

The concept is to use a transmitter range of about 200-300 feet (65-100m) and to periodically transmit an ID (which may be a simple number or a number and a coded description of the unit). This provides a location accuracy approximately equal to that provided by GPS without differential correction.

Wherever units need to be tracked receiver units are placed on site. These receive the transmitted data burst and send the ID and decoded data to an LCD and to a serial port for automated data collection. As the receiver location is known, the unit location is known to within 300'.

Major areas of application:

DMS's LOCATE technology is exclusively licensed to CompuTracker pending contract negotiation.
